The Northern Japan, Iwate Traditional Ironware has been loved for 400 years both domestically and globally.
There are mainly 2 clans of Ironware masters, the Mizusawa and the Morioka clans whose history vary from each other. Mizusawa clan produces mainly iron pot, iron kettle, and Buddhist altar fittings . In the end of the Samurai era, they also casted cannon. The Morioka clan consisted of 4 sectors, Arisaka , Suzuki , Fujita house, the kettle master Koizumi .
After the 2nd world war, these Iron cast craftmen re channel their skills into making iron kettles, iron, wind chimes and pots.
These kettles and iron wares transcends all era and adjust well in our modern interior homes. Whether the room is Japanese themed or modern themed, it blends well in the Living room, dining room or Kitchen or breakfast room .
The Kettle is also a fine piece of kitchenware, the the inner surface of the kettle has been treated to prevent rust and this kettle can be used directly on the fire stove.
